Profile on Dee.
Dear members,
As you will be entrusting me to your innermost feelings & situations, I thought it would be a very good idea that you know a little about me.
I was born to a family of 10 siblings, as the ninth born, odd as it might seem, I was a lonely child. I felt unwanted, rejected and sort love so desperately,
I became the ideal candidate for those willing to abuse & use a vulnerable young girl. I became a victim of statutory rape; rape; spousal abuse; hijacking; a victim of a ruthless doctor, who disfigured me; I lost 7 children through my ex-husbands brutality and the list goes on. These experiences led me to a cross roads in my life and I decided the only way I would be able to accept what I experienced, would be to use them positively. I joined Suicide anonymous as a volunteer, later Lifeline, which gave me the opportunity to help others.

Initially I felt almost inadequate in helping so many people who had experienced so many of the experiences I had and worse, but with the training I received, it became easier. All I needed to do is combine my training with my personal experiences and I was overwhelmed with the empathy I felt. I was able to advise each person with confidence and in doing this succeed in assisting others in a way I was not assisted. The mistakes I made during my life became the positive guidelines to me, in assisting others positively.
What is also phenomenal is that helping others helped me to heal spiritually, mentally & progress in life. It helped me to rid myself of the restrictions which being a prisoner of one’s own bitterness & hatred, has on one. It has freed me and helped me realize my worth, which is the path I would like to take you on.
